Why We Love It:
Not only do we love these bizarre living things, apparently our clients do as well. Succulents come in such beautiful shapes, colors and patterns. This week we are doing the floral designs for a private event and a large wedding. Their one request: Succulents. And as you know, we aim to please. I think we bought out the whole flower market this week! We gobbled up as many different varieties as we could find. Here they are in the raw but stay tuned to see them in all their glory this weekend.
We were having fun setting up a beautiful Bat-Mitzvah at
The Beverly Hilton. The theme was purple!
purple! purple! Purple linens, purple flowers, purple napkin treatments and purple votives created a wonderfully feminine party. It was an indoor/outdoor celebration and the sunshine cast an elegant glow over the event. There was an awesome candy bar with a variety of sweets that was sure to make the kids go wild. However, we left before the effects of the candy kicked in :)
Lucky us! Take a look at the awesome set-up....

Summer is officially here! We are definitely preparing for a colorful season and saying farewell to our soft and sweet spring. You have to appreciate the vibrance that the sunshine brings and we use it to our full advantage. Another bustling week here at The Hidden Garden. The designers have been busy creating unique arrangements for our cool clients. See what bold arrangements went out the door this week!
Why We Love It:
The Smell! The Smell! The Smell! The fragrance of english lavendar makes you want to just fill the air with it. The scent is soft, sweet and fresh. Like running outdoors in an english garden. Not to mention that this lavendar is pretty to look at, too! With their long green stems and wisps of soft purple, lavendar is a great addition to any arrangement. If anyone is interested in taking a trip to Ojai this weekend, you can enjoy the annual
Ojai Valley Lavender Festival where you can see several species of this beauty. Now that's exciting!
We were busy bees yesterday gearing up for this year's
Critic's Choice Television Awards. We had the pleasure of providing all of the floral designs for the event which was held at
The Beverly Hills Hotel in the lovely Crystal Ballroom. It was a tropical theme, so to achieve that look we used a variety of greens (horsetail, Song of India, anthurium, etc...), fuji mums, orange pincushions, mokara orchids, and james storie orchids. We even added in a few pineapples and sea shells to complete the tropical setting. It was a fun theme and the final arrangements looked amazing.
Can't wait to do it again next year!
