We absolutely love designing for baby showers! In our world, they really are like mini weddings. There are color schemes, centerpieces/table arrangements, invitations, napkin treatments, cakes, candy bars, shower favors, and the list goes on. But, unlike weddings where the look is glamour, sophistication, and elegance. Baby showers are meant to be totally adorable, fun, and still beautiful. That means we get a free pass for all things CUTE and believe me we use that baby up.
When talking about floral design, finding the right shade of purple is like picking pretty and prettier. Lighter shades will give you a soft and sweet appearance while the darker shades make a more daring and bold statement. There are several flowers that have magnificent purple hues; light lavenders include roses, hydrangea and dendrobium orchids while richer more true shades include Lisianthus, purple tulips and purple macaras. Purple is the kind of stand out color that your eye is just drawn to, especially in a floral arrangement. It is also my favorite color (if you couldn't tell) and I just wanted to spend some writing time giving purple the appreciation it deserves!
Why We Love It:
These wonderful little berries add such a great texture and vibrance to our arrangements. They are a perfect compliment to florals and add a deep purple tone for more romance and elegance. It's always nice to be able to incorporate different elements to give our designs a little pizazz.
Why We Love It:
There are several different species of Ranunculus, but the one's we are in love with this week are the luxuriously petaled kind. Like a petite never-ending rose, these flowers gave our arrangements an elegance we especially needed this week. Just pull the first layer of petals, give a little blow and watch these little pretties come to life!

We made it through another year! Today, we are all sleep deprived but so happy about our successful Valentine's Day run. We had over 200 orders! While ALL of the arrangements were BEAUTIFUL, there were a few that really stood out and captured the spotlight.
